Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month
The nominations for the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month Award for November are:
Ollie Banks (Chesterfield) – midfielder
A stellar beginning to his league career saw him impress with a superb solo goal at Torquay United, a header against Wycombe Wanderers and calm confidence on the ball patrolling the Chesterfield midfield in an unbeaten month for his team.
Zavon Hines (Dagenham & Redbridge) - winger
A mazy dribble and finish at Hartlepool United was the pick of his three goals. He also provided an assist in the 2-0 win over Burton Albion through the attacking and direct wing play that has become his trademark.
Luke Prosser (Southend United) - central defender
The 6ft 3in central defender proved one of the major barriers in a Southend defence which conceded just three goals. Dominant in the air and strong in the tackle, he also headed home an injury-time winner against York City.
Steven Schumacher (Fleetwood Town) – midfielder
An outstanding return of four goals from central midfield. His hat-trick in the 4-1 triumph over Newport County included two well-taken penalties while his curling free-kick against Oxford United complemented his all-round passing ability.
The winners will be announced on Friday December 6 2013.
The nominated managers are James Beattie (Accrington Stanley), Phil Brown (Southend United), Gary Rowett (Burton Albion) and John Ward (Bristol Rovers).
