“We asked for energy and commitment from the players as a minimum and they gave that without a doubt. But we let ourselves down at times, particularly in the first few minutes. Then we responded almost immediately and we created other opportunities in the first half. With a bit more composure and quality we could have added another goal” said the Town boss.
“They put us under pressure for 20-25 minutes in the second half and took a goal from that period. We then pushed them back towards their goal but it ended a frustrating day.”
