Captain, Steve McNulty, is optimistic towards Fleetwood Town’s Lancashire derby against Morecambe.

‘It’s going to be a good game; obviously with more added spice because it’s a local derby! The team are ready and prepared for the game. They’ve started the league well, similar to us, we are expecting a tough match but we're going there to win.’ Town were knocked out of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy on penalties mid-week but were in no way down-hardened after taking Rochdale all the way to penalties having gone 2-0 down to The Dale. ‘It’s always hard losing a game on penalties. I feel for the 2 lads that missed them, nonetheless they did have the bottle to take them. It wasn’t to be this year but I’m sure we can compete in the cup next time around.’ Familiar faces to The Cod Army, Will Haining and Richard Brodie, will come up against Town for the opposition at the Globe Arena. ‘Will did well with us, I played a few games with him. Of course Brodie was with Fleetwood last season. It’s going to be nice to play against them and hopefully it will be a good game!’ ‘We played well against Aldershot. I was happy to score but I want to contribute a lot more, maybe getting 6-7 goals a season. There’s a lot of fire-power in the team and it showed!’ The Cod Army did the Club proud against Rochdale turning up in their numbers and singing throughout the game. ‘Our fans are always better away from home. I’m hoping there will be even more on Saturday and that they will make plenty of noise for the team!’ Fleetwood Town supporters without tickets can pay at Globe Arena for ground entry  Club coach travel is full.
