Lee Fowler has called on his teammates to come back from their defeat against Port Vale, when they take on lowly Bristol Rovers this Saturday.

The former Wrexham midfielder said it was disappointing to lose on Tuesday night, but he insists Fleetwood have a great opportunity to get back to winning ways against a Bristol Rovers team that are winless so far in the npower League 2 season, and currently occupy one of the two relegation places. Lee Fowler said: “In football there are always games to bounce back. We go to play Bristol, who are down at the bottom of the league, and it is a great game for us to bounce back.” “Tuesday’s game was a bit disappointing. I want to win every game, but we know we can’t as players, but after five games, we have four wins and a loss, so it’s been going well.” The midfielder has also stated that although he is satisfied with how he has performed on a personal level so far this season, he is going to continue to work hard to maintain his place in Micky Mellon’s first 11. “I’m pleased with aspects (how he has played), and other aspects I need to continuously work on, every single football player needs to do that, so I’ll keep working hard and keep myself in the team.” Saturday’s clash away at Bristol Rovers will be even more special to Lee. His family are making the short trip from Cardiff this weekend, and they will be taking their seat in the stands to support him and his Fleetwood teammates. “My family will be at the game, as it’s not to far from Cardiff, unfortunately for the Fleetwood lads, it is a long old drive.” Meanwhile, central defender Rob Atkinson has joined Accrington Stanley on loan. See my next npower League 2 round up in next Saturday’s ‘Talk of the Town’ when we take on Barnet.
