Goalkeeper Chris Maxwell visited the Fleetwood Asda store this week to mark the launch of the FIFA13 computer game and open the new pharmacy.

“It’s good to come out and meet some people and see what makes the town what it is,” said Chris. The Wales under 21 keeper challenged customers on the new football computer game where Fleetwood Town feature for the first time. “I’m a big games fan myself and have been playing on FIFA since I was little. It’s good to come down and play a few games with local children.“ Chris is challenging number 1 Scott Davies for a place in the starting line-up at Highbury and the Welshman made his own selection on the computer game. “I think everyone will know who I put in goals for Fleetwood!” joked Chris. “It really is surreal to see yourself on a computer game you’ve played for years.” Andy Reams, Asda Fleetwood general store manager welcomed the U21 international.  “It’s great to be selling a product which has our local team featured. It’s also great to see kids coming in who can play against Chris both in the store on the screen.” Turning to the new pharmacy, Andy added: “It’s absolutely fantastic to welcome a player from our local Football League team into the main store. It’s great to have a pharmacy here for the local community with all the facilities you’d expect.”
