Report: Under-19s put eight past Port Vale in clinical performance

Fleetwood Town's Under-19s carried on their recent run of form as they managed to put eight past Port Vale at Poolfoot Farm on Saturday morning in another clinical Youth Alliance win.

It was a brilliant start to the game as just 12 minutes in, Pharrell Brown opened the scoring as he cut in from the left wing and curled his effort into the top corner, before Kyle White added a second two minutes later, which continued the young Cods' fast start.

White wasn't done there as put it on a plate for Covy Smith to add another to Town's tally for the afternoon, making it 3-0, with the forward calmly finishing. The side would go on to add two more before the half-time break as Drew Baker nodded in from the back post, and Ben Thompson netted a brilliant free-kick soon after.

The game then calmed down for 20 minutes as both sides looked for any opening they could until Harry Clarke did eventually add a sixth 18 minutes from time. Roman Khela then wanted to get in on the act at the end of the game and if his volley from the last outing was anything to go by, his goal would be ones to look back on.

It sure was and it came after he crossed the ball in the seventh in the 77th minute, almost like it was timed, which was scored by Clarke. He then took his turn as her struck a superb volley from the edge of the box - once again - to finish off the scoring in the clash.

Town XI: Cragg (GK), Khela, Trialist A, Thompson, Baker, Hoyle, Trialist B, Morrison, Smith, White, Brown.
