Fleetwood Town’s Development Squad will be back in action this weekend as they kick off their pre-season schedule with a trip to Colne FC on Saturday.
Paul Murray’s squad have not seen action in over two months now, with their last game being a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes with Blackburn Rovers in the Lancashire FA Cup. Billy Crellin was the hero of that match as Town won the game 4-3 on penalties, ensuring their place against Liverpool in the final.
Colne will also need to get back into the mix as the last game they played, which was a 4-0 loss to Farsley Celtic, meant that they would miss out in the play-off spots in the Evo-Stik League Northern Premier – First Division.
