Fleetwood Town Reserves v Darwen:
September 28th 2007 07:30
The Reserves are in action again
tonight when they take on Darwen FC Reserves at Highbury with a 7:45pm kick
off. There are six changes from the Barrow line up; one of the most significant
being the absence of Dax Hoogerwerf who has joined Blackpool Mechanics. On a
brighter note though, Paul Haddow gets his first game following injury in what
is still a very attractive line up.
Tonight's squad: Mike Hale, Ryan Croft, Chris Dust, Danny Eden, Michael
Tallentire,
Kyle Webster, Danny Matthews, Paul Haddow, Richard Allen, Chris Watkinson, Joel
Cowell, Anthony Warwick, Paul Bailey and Stuart Harris Jnr.

Eastwood Town 2 Fleetwood Town 1:
September 23rd 2007 08:00
A reshuffled team just didn't get to
grips with a strong running Eastwood Town. Reaching half time only 1 - 0 down,
following an uncharacteristic goalkeeping error, we hoped for better things in
the second half - but we just didn't click. A final push for a point at the end
inevitably left us open to a breakaway goal before substitute Mickey Saunders
knocked in a last minute consolation.
Team: Danny Hurst, Kieran Walmsley, Shaun Gray (Guy Heffernan),
Martin Moran, Ricky Mercer, Nathan Pond, Michael Brown (Mickey Saunders), Jamie
Milligan, Steve Foster, Alex Taylor
(Richie Allen) and Jez Fitzgerald.

FA Cup - Final Ticket Update:
September 13th 2007 13:30
Whilst ticket sales for Saturday’s
game continue to go extremely well, we have decided to extend the OnLine and
telephone purchase options until 11 am on Saturday, the day of the game. Whilst
we do not propose to post out any further tickets after today (Thursday), any
tickets purchased either OnLine or by telephone can be collected in person
before the game from a temporary ticket office set up on our car park. Anybody
collecting tickets will need to bring some form of identification with them,
ideally the credit or debit card they used to pay for the tickets.
Tickets remain on open sale until
Friday from either the Fleetwood Weekly News offices (between 9 am and 5.15 pm)
or our Social Club (between 6 pm and 8 pm).
We remain on target for a full house
on Saturday but, if there are any unsold tickets, we would
re-iterate that there will be no cash admission on the day of the game.

Prescot Cables 1 Fleetwood Town 3:
September 11th 2007 23:30
A good performance tonight at
Prescot saw Town in control for the majority of the game. Jamie Milligan put us
two up, knocking in two clear cut penalties, before Cables, now down to ten
men, pulled one back with their only serious shot on target! Alex Taylor
returned the score to respectability with a last minute comedy goal.
Report to follow.....

FA Cup Tickets - Do Not Delay!
September 10th 2007 16:30
Tickets for Saturday’s FA Cup tie
against FC United of Manchester are flying with almost 2500 already sold by
Monday afternoon. The ground has a 3300 capacity and as all available tickets
will almost certainly have sold out before the day, there will be no admission
to the big game whatsoever without a ticket.
We are slightly concerned that many
of our own supporters appear to be delaying buying their tickets. Could we
please therefore urge everybody to purchase tickets as soon as possible to
avoid missing out.
Tickets are still available from the
Fleetwood Weekly News Office, our own Social Club, by telephone on 777607, and
OnLine through the club’s official website.

Fleetwood Town 2 Worksop Town 1:
September 9th 2007 07:30
It looked like 'job done' at half
time, with Phil Denney thumping in the first (below) and Andy Bell cleverly knocking
in the second off the Worksop number 6, but The Tigers had other ideas. With
Worksop back in the game, courtesy of a penalty, Fleetwood needed a good
performance from Danny Hurst to hang on to the points.

But First We Have Worksop:
September 7th 2007 17:45
We fans may be getting excited about
the FA Cup, but the players and management need to remain totally focused on
what is, after all, our main business - that of picking up three points from
tomorrow's UniBond League meeting with Worksop Town.
So let's get down to Highbury
tomorrow and get right behind the lads, and get in a bit of practise for next
week! With our special 'BoGoF' deal, you also get to see England v Israel
in the Club after the main match! And, if you're passing the Club Shop, you
will pleased to note that the Car Stickers are now in stock at £2.50.

Fleetwood Town U18s 1 Kirkham & Wesham 3:
September 6th 2007 22:00
Another busy evening!
After a few motivational words from
their manager, Steve Edwards, the Reserves got back on the winning trail
earlier tonight with a 3-2 victory at Formby. Two goals from Joel Cowell and a
season's first from Mickey Saunders.
Meanwhile, Mike Sumner's U18 squad were
not so fortunate at Highbury, losing 3-1 to a good Kirkham & Wesham side.
Jack Davidson got the goal.

FA Cup Update 2:
September 6th 2007 22:00
Tickets for FA Cup tie on September
15th will go on general sale via the OnLine Ticket Shop from 20:00pm on
Saturday September 8th. Your purchase is limited to four tickets and they will
only be distributed by post to your credit or debit card address. The shop will
close at 4:00pm on Tuesday September 11th in order to allow time for postal
delivery.

therefore, to secure their tickets at the game on Saturday before they are made
generally available online.

FA Cup Update:
September 6th 2007 17:00
Following further discussions with the
Police and FC United officials, we have taken the decision not to formally
segregate the two sets of supporters for this game. We will, however, require
the respective supporters to enter the ground by different turnstiles –
Fleetwood Town supporters should enter by the Memorial Park turnstiles
alongside our own Social Club with FC United supporters entering the stadium
through the Highbury turnstiles alongside the Highbury Sports and Soccer Social
Club. Once inside the ground, our stewards, supported by the local Police, will
assist all supporters in ensuring they can enjoy the match safely.
We would also advise that entry to
our own Social Club will be by ticket only which will be issued to match day
sponsors, officials and invited guests. No FC United supporters will be allowed
entry to the Social Club. We have had to take this decision simply because of
the limited capacity of our club, which would not be able to cater otherwise
for the number of supporters likely to want to use it.

Fleetwood Town 2 Marine 3:
September 4th 2007 12:00
Disappointing. Fleetwood finished an
even first half pressing hard, but still went in one down as a result of a
defensive clearance rebounding into the net. We eventually got our game going
in the second half with Jamie Milligan equalising from the spot after Ciaran
Donnelly had been knocked over. The big push for the equaliser then essentially
cost us the game as we were hit twice on the break. A second penalty, for hand
ball in the last minute, allowed Steve Foster to notch his first for the club.
A good crowd of 648.

September 4th 2007 12:00
We wish to announce ticket
arrangements for the above fixture to be played at Highbury Stadium, Fleetwood.
This will be an all ticket fixture and there will be no admission to the
stadium on the day of the game without a valid ticket. For safety and security
reasons, we regret we are not able to accept cash payment on the day.
The stadium capacity is set at 3300
and an allocation of 1600 tickets will be made available to FC United of
Manchester supporters. Ticket prices will be the same as our usual league
prices, namely £7 (adults) and £4 (concessions).
Tickets will be on sale from Friday
7th September and Fleetwood Town supporters can purchase tickets for this game
in one of four ways :
1. In person from Fleetwood Town FC
(from the club shop) at the home game against Worksop Town on Saturday 8th
September.
2. In person from Fleetwood Town FC (Social Club) on weekday evenings (Monday
10th September to Friday 14th September) between 6.00 pm and 8.00 pm.
3. In person from the Fleetwood Weekly News Offices between Monday 10th
September and Friday 14th September between 9.00 am and 5.15 pm.
4. By telephone on (01253) 777607 during normal office hours. Payment can be
accepted by Debit or Credit card.
FC United of Manchester supporters
should purchase their tickets through their own club in the usual way. We would
urge all supporters to purchase tickets at the earliest possible opportunity as
we expect the game to be a complete sell out.

'If you build it they will come':
September 3rd 2007 19:00
I'm sure that you noticed that our opening
game crowd still tops the UniBond attendance league. As we continue to attract
larger crowds, we will require more help and so:
'We are looking to expand our
match day team and we have some vacancies currently for bar staff, gate staff,
stewards and other general match day tasks. If anybody would like to get
involved with the club in this way and at the same time earn a little extra
money, we would be delighted to hear from you.
For further details, please call
Gemma on 01253 777607.

More Salutations from Morecambe:
September 3rd 2007 17:30
Another message from Les Taylor who,
unfortunately, has been given a sicky for another two weeks by his GP following
his premature return at the Hednesford game. He thanks you all for your good
wishes, hopes we have 'a good 'un' against Marine, wishes he were younger, and
looks forward to seeing you all soon.

busy finalising ticketing and match details throughout the week. Details here
as soon as we have them.

Frickley Athletic 0 Fleetwood Town 1:
September 1st 2007 21:00
An 'OK' first half performance, with
Andy Bell getting the goal in the 41st minute, hinted at better things after
the break. Unfortunately they never materialised and a scrappy second half
ensued, brightened only by some entertaining refereeing. Still, three points
will do nicely!

Ouch! I didn't expect that!
September 1st 2007 08:00
A rampant Kendal Town Reserves team
put six goals past Mike Hale last night, and he was a contender for man of the
match. Mike Tallentire opened the scoring with Fleetwood's only goal.
