Fleetwood
Town 1 Ossett Town 0
Blame the weather! A lethargic Fleetwood just didn't get
going today, but still managed to take all the points thanks to substitute Andy
Bell's solo effort. Winning ugly it's called!
Team: Hale, Walmsley, Moran, Gray, Mercer, Pond, Brown,
Milligan, Denney (Bell), Saunders (Moore), Allen

FTFC
v Ossett Town:
Today we welcome Ossett Town to Highbury in the return
fixture after our victory over them on the first day of the season. The squad
arrived home from Matlock in high spirits in the early hours of Thursday
morning, following our good draw there, and TG is sure to keep that spark going
into today's 'six pointer'.

Ground
Grading Success!
Earlier
today, FTFC received a visit from officials of the UniBond League and the
Football Association as they carried out their planned Ground Grading
Assessment of Highbury Stadium relative to the requirements of the Conference
League North.
A
jubilant Andy Pilley has just announced that we passed the ground grading in
all respects. This is the culmination of many months of hard work and, to quote
the League and FA Officials, 'We are delighted with the progress being made
here at the Fleetwood Town Stadium and everyone involved should be very proud
of themselves.'
A
full press release will be available
shortly.

Matlock
Town 1 Fleetwood Town 1
An early Phil Denney goal knocked Matlock out of their
stride and we had the best of a first half when we could have secured all three
points. The second half was backs to the wall as Matlock showed some of the
form that has carried them into the top five and grabbed an equaliser from a
77th minute corner. We remained good value for our point, however, with Shaun
Gray leading a spirited back four.
The back four included Kieran Walmsley at right back.
Kieran, who signed yesterday, has joined the club from Morecambe and is on loan
until the end of the season. With Robbo injured, he provides much needed cover
for the right flank.
Team: Hurst, Walmsley, Pryers, Moran, Gray, Charnock
(Pond), Brown, Milligan, Bell (Saunders), Denney, Fitzgerald
(Allen)

Fleetwood
Town 4 Grantham Town 1
A bit of a stroll in the park as Fleetwood opened up a
three goal lead with goals from Mickey Saunders and Phil Denney (2). A
signature defensive lapse was quickly erased by a signature Richie Allen goal
to complete the scoring.
So, other than the slightly worrying injury to Phil
Robinson, it was mission accomplished as we gear up for tomorrow's big game at
Matlock. Don't say it too loud, but a win there and we move into eighth place.
Team: Hurst, Robinson (Denney), Pryers, Moran, Gray, Haddow
(Milligan), Brown, Pond (Charnock), Moore, Saunders,

Fleetwood
Town v Grantham Town
Tonight brings the first of three games in five days; three
games that could really light the blue touch paper. 'The players are relishing
the challenge,' says TG. 'They can see that the play offs are still achievable
and they're up for it.' You can expect some changes in the line up from
Saturday as, utilising his full squad, Tony is not just picking tonight's team,
but the teams for Wednsday and Saturday as well.
Kick Off as usual at 7:45pm. Don't miss
it!

Telford 2 Fleetwood Town 2
This was a cracking game of football. Two fabulous
goals, from Michael Brown and Jamie Milligan, and a stunning penalty save from
Danny Hurst should have earned us the points: but maybe a draw was a fair
result. Not many teams will take 4 points from Telford this season! More later.

A
Good Start to the Weekend
FTFC Reserves got the weekend off to a good start last
night when they beat Burscough Reserves 3-0 with goals from Chris Watkinson,
Richie Allen and Michael Tallentire.
Let's
keep up the good work today at Telford and look forward to both the players and
the fans playing their part in a memorable day. 08:00 24/03/2007

As forum dwellers will know, the final of the ULCC will be
played on Tuesday April 17th. The scheduled league game against Matlock on that

Next
Up - AFC Telford!
We have three Supporters' Coaches running to Telford on
Saturday; departing from Highbury at 10:15am. At noon today, there were only a
handful of seats remaining so, if you've just realised that you're missing the
party, then phone 01253 770702 now as, once these are sold, that's it!
At the New Bucks Head Stadium, rival fans will be
segregated and we have been allocated to the Frank Nagington Stand, which means
entering through turnstiles I and J. The 'Nag' is behind the goal and, the news
that you have all been waiting for, there is a snack bar in the enclosure, but
it does not serve alcohol. Enjoy the
game!

UniBond
League Cup Final:
Matlock Town finally squeezed past Woodley Sports 7-6 on
penalties, after drawing 3-3 at the end of extra time, to join us in the final.
With both finalists suffering from fixture congestion, be assured that the
final will not be a two leg affair! The date and neutral venue to be agreed
shortly. 07:30 21/03/2007
Leek
Town 1 Fleetwood Town 2
An early goal from a Jez Fitzgerald free kick put FTFC in
the driving seat until a defensive error gave Leek some hope. Never say die,
though, we weren't going to settle for a draw - even if it needed an 87th
minute own goal to win it! A very valuable three points that keeps the dream
alive.......

But
First - It's Leek Town:
Tomorrow's visit to Leek Town will be a tough encounter as
the 'Last Six Games' clip shows below. After bumping along at the bottom of the
league for much of the season, Leek have managed to grind out a few results in
the last month or so but, as they still need a few wins to keep them clear of
relegation, we'll need to match Saturday's second half endeavors to take the
points.

Town 3 Whitby Town 1:
Fleetwood recovered from being a goal down inside two
minutes, but didn't sparkle until the after a half-time substitution brought
Phil Denney into the fray. His excellent finish of a Phil Charnock pass
awakened the team and the fans, and saw Andy Bell and Jez Fitzgerald adding to
the tally as the Whitby back line buckled under pressure. Report later.

In the end, despite getting mauled by the Robins in the
first half, we came away disappointed with a point. Ilkeston opened the scoring
before Jamie Milligan equalised; scoring directly from a corner (below). Mickey
Saunders then grabbed what seemed like the winner close to the end, only for
Ilkeston to ram home a last gasp equaliser. Report.
