Press Release: New Stand Development.

Fleetwood Town officials met with representatives of Wyre Borough Council earlier this week to discuss the possibility of FTFC building a new main grand-stand. The proposed site for the all seater stand, which will be built to Conference National standards, is where the existing social club stands.

This project is still in the planning stages and the talks that have taken place to-date have been merely explorative. However, club officials are determined to make this happen with a view to continuing the
re-development of Highbury Stadium and realising our ultimate dream of Conference National football for Fleetwood Town FC.

As an aside, Fleetwood Gym officials have expressed an interest in renting some of the land on which the new stand is built but this is only one of many issues still requiring resolution and it is important to point out that no decision has made by FTFC in this regard. Whatever decision we do make will be one that is in the best interests of FTFC.

The new Hatfield Avenue stand is nearing completion and we now hope to be in a position to open this wonderful new facility for the Grantham fixture on the 10th of February. However, we won't be resting on our laurels and our thoughts are already turning towards building an all seater stand that will be the envy of our rivals and which, more importantly, will provide us with the platform for advancing further up the football pyramid. More news when we have it.                                                                                  08:00 02/02/2007

Photographic Help Wanted:

You're all aware of our photographer Jamie Blundell and the excellent work that he produces on behalf of the club; well now he would like a little help.

If Jamie had a second photographer working with him, that would not only improve the coverage and quality of the match photos, but it would also make it easier to cater for the increasing 'off the field' photographic demands of the club. If you are interested please email the club - or have a word with Jamie at the game on Saturday.                                  15:00 30/01/2007
