Lets help boost tourism in Fleetwood!

Fleetwood Town Football Club are taking a lead in helping boost tourism with their promotion to League One. Tourism businesses in Fleetwood will benefit from increasing number of away supporters coming to the town for the 14/15 season and the Club is keen to engage with these businesses to make the most of the match day experience.

Working with partners Visit Fleetwood they are inviting you to find out how your business can take full advantage of Fleetwood Town’s promotion to Sky Bet League One. Over 100,000 fans are expected to descend on Fleetwood for the 2014/15 season – an opportunity not to be missed.

On Tuesday 22nd July the Club is holding an open evening inviting local businesses who want to work with the Club to make the visitor experience the best it can be! The meeting will start at 6pm (arrival from 5.30pm) in the Parkside Suite, with a short presentation from the club followed by an open forum and networking opportunity with like-minded businesses in the town.

Why are we doing this?

We hope everyone in the Port is delighted with Fleetwood’s latest promotion. But it’s not just a footballing victory as it can also be a bonus for your own business and an opportunity to put the town of Fleetwood on the map.

Hear about the Club's magnificent journey through the leagues from Club officials, have a look at the facilities if you haven’t been to Highbury before, see what opportunities are are available to promote business and have your photo taken with the Sky Bet League Two Play-Off Final Trophy.

In addition some local businesses who have already benefited from the association with the club will also speak and provide other tourism businesses with some ideas too.

More than anything, be inspired by Fleetwood Town’s success and use it as a springboard to inspiration for success in your own business. It’s your Club, in your town, so let’s be proud and mean business together!

Martin Booker, Head of Commercial at the Club said. "It’s an opportunity for the Club to make the tourism businesses aware of when visitors are coming to games with a number of capacity crowds expected at Highbury this season.

"A number of businesses have show some great initiative to help their own businesses prosper and also help make their visit to Fleetwood a good experience encouraging hem to come back to the town again in the future. Engaging with these businesses will also hopefully build some new relationships too."
