More activity at Highbury this week in the transfer and loan market

Josh Morris’ and Bobby Grant’s loan deals this week haven’t been the only incomings for Fleetwood Town FC this week.

The Cod Army are also delighted to confirm the capture of 19-year-old Nick  Haughton from North West Counties side Runcorn Town.

Haughton will join the Cod Army until at least the end of next season after impressing during a week-long trial period.

Capped for England at both English schools and colleges levels, Haughton has made 16 appearances for Runcorn this season, scoring three times.

Alongside his time at Runcorn, Haughton continued to represent Wellacre College which also forms Evo-Stik side Trafford FC’s youth team.

All associated clubs are delighted to have been involved in his recent progress, and have kindly assisted Fleetwood in making Nick available.

Released after six years from a professional Centre for Excellence, Town scouts took the opportunity to follow his performances over the last few months, having been recently alerted to his outstanding performances with the Sandy Lane club.

Haughton has immediately gone out on loan to Nantwich Town where he will be until March 29th.

Meanwhile, second year scholar Dom Barrett has joined Evo Stik North side Clitheroe on an initial month’s loan.

The Lancashire side are currently managed by former Fleetwood Town defender Simon Garner.

Finally, Jake Parker has had his loan at Droylsden extended until the end of the season.
