Defender on Tuesday night's clash against his former employers

Former Burnley man and current Fleetwood Town defender Stevie Jordan says he will always remember his time as a Claret leading up to Tuesday night’s pre-season friendly.

Jordan, who helped Burnley seal promotion to the Premier League, is excited at the prospect of returning back to Highbury Stadium after a near three month absence.

Speaking from the Club’s Poolfoot Farm training base, Jordan said: “First and foremost I’m looking forward to being back at Highbury so we can get ourselves on a good surface and pass the ball around.

“I had three unbelievable years at Burnley so hopefully it’ll be a good game and it’s one I can’t wait to play in on Tuesday.

“I’m feeling really good at the moment and am starting to get back to full speed now. The aim is to get back to full fitness though as it’s still pre-season.

“By the time the season comes around I’ll hopefully be hitting top form and ready to go.

“The Burnley and Getafe games are two to look forward to. They’re great tests for us as we’ll be playing clubs who are in higher divisions than us.

“It’s what you need in pre-season though as you don’t want to be playing below-par teams.

“I obviously spent a lot of time at Manchester City as a kid but my best three years came at Burnley without a shadow of a doubt.

“There’s not many people left since I was there but it’ll still be nice to see some of them.”

The ticket office will be open from 9am on Tuesday morning with tickets on sale for the game. For further information please call 01253 775080 now!
