The defender left disappointed with penalty decision
Stephen Jordan felt key decisions away from home went against his Fleetwood side once again at stadium:mk last night.The defender insisted that Stephen Crainey’s foul on Samir Carruthers with six minutes left to play was not a penalty, and that Town were hard done by.
The former Manchester City man also added that the Dons’ first goal was also contentious with an alleged handball spotted in the build-up to Kyle McFadzean’s equaliser.
After the game, Jordan said: “The lads are all saying it’s not a penalty so we’ve been hard done by again. The referee had given them a lot during the game and we’re gutted.
“We set out to contain them and we did that. I keep going back to the penalty to though and all the lads are downbeat.
“Even the first goal, the lads are saying that he’s handballed it in the build-up, so we’re disappointed with that as well.
“These things seem to be happening a lot but we’ve got to get past that now. The referees aren’t going to give little old Fleetwood these decisions so we’ve just got to do it ourselves.
Town travel to Deepdale on Saturday afternoon to face Preston North End in what is sure to be another difficult encounter, however Jordan has faith in the players.
“We’ve got the quality in our squad to go and beat them on Saturday, so hopefully we’ll do that.”
