Midfielder to remain at Highbury until end of the season

Fleetwood Town have extended Josh Morris’ loan from Blackburn Rovers until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old winger has made seven appearances for the Cod Army so far and picked up an assist on Tuesday evening by providing the corner for Mark Roberts to score Fleetwood’s second against Bristol Rovers.

Manager Graham Alexander said: “Josh has settled in really well since he joined us from Blackburn Rovers last month.

“He is playing very well and he is causing the opposition problems down the left hand side of midfield. He has shown he is a young player with a bright future ahead of him.

“He shows a lot of quality on the ball and he is a good part of the squad. I am pleased he is staying and we thank Blackburn for allowing us to keep him.”

Do you think Josh will score his first goal for the club this weekend against Rochdale? The midfielder is currently 18/1 to score the opening goal of the game.
