Welshman joins from Wycombe Wanderers on a two year deal

Welsh striker Aaron Holloway has this afternoon joined Fleetwood Town on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee from Wycombe Wanderers.

The 23 year old was a part of Cardiff City’s youth system before making the move across the Severn Bridge to join rivals Bristol City in 2011.

The Cardiff born attacker moved back to Wales to sign for Newport County in 2014, but made only four appearances before signing for Wycombe Wanderers.

He appeared over 50 times for the Chairboys during a two year spell at Adams Park, and started their Play-Off final defeat to Southend United at Wembley in May 2015.

Oldham Athletic made a move for his services on an emergency loan deal in February this year, and he scored two goals in ten appearances at Boundary Park.

Whilst with the Greater Manchester side, Holloway won the goal of the season award for his sublime strike against rivals Rochdale.

Holloway has also been capped ten times by Wales’ Under 17 side, and has represented his country at Under 19 level too.
