Striker joins the Cod Army from Bradford City
Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce the signing of striker Devante Cole from Bradford City.The 20 year old, who started his career with Manchester City, enjoyed loan spells at both Barnsley and MK Dons last season, before signing for the Valley Parade outfit during the summer.
Manager Steven Pressley said: “We’re really pleased to have signed Devante. It happened very quickly to be honest and we had a couple of things bubbling away yesterday.
“We didn’t ever foresee the Devante one developing but things moved quickly and we’re absolutely delighted to have him here.
“Devante has got terrific speed and is an exciting player. I hope he brings goals because we need a number nine we can rely on to score goals.
“We need someone who can get us double figures and that’s what we hope of Devante because we’ve invested our time in him.
“It’s about finding that balance amongst our strikers now. The games are coming thick and fast over the next couple of months.
“We didn’t want to be in that position where we only had one person with that speed we require, but I think we’ve done that over the past couple of days.”
