Over 60 delegates attended...
Fleetwood Town’s B2B event at Highbury was hailed a great success by local businesses from the area. Over 60 delegates attended the event in the Parkside Suite on Thursday morning at 8am for an exhibition and networking at the Club.Martin Booker, Head of Commercial, organised the networking event for the business club and FY businesses from the area.
He said: “The business club goes from strength to strength and it was a great turnout for our member businesses.
“It’s not just about the Club benefits it’s all our business club members who benefit too by showcasing what they can do to potential clients in the future. It was also a great opportunity to showcase what we do and promotes our fantastic facilities to new potential clients. ”
Amongst the guests were the Club’s Technical Director Gretar Steinsson and Cllr Peter Murphy, Economy Portfolio holder for Wyre Borough Council.
Steinsson said “It was a great event and demonstrated what Fleetwood Town FC means to the business community. There was some great networking going on in the room and Martin did a great job pulling the event together.
“As a Club it’s so important we engage with businesses like this and it was great to see so many local companies at Highbury Stadium.”
Peter Murphy was also quick to add his praise on the event’s success. “It was a great morning and good to see so many companies from the borough in attendance.
“It’s great to work in partnership with the club and it’s great for Wyre Borough Council to meet these businesses and support them where we can.”
The Club has already received a number of testimonials as a result.
Emma Ingle from YMCA Fitness added: “It was a really good event and it was great to put so many names to faces.”
Angela Kershaw from Wyred Up business group said: “What a brilliant event that was, we made a number of new connections and gained more members as a result”.
FTFC Business Club meet every fortnight at Highbury 7am on a Thursday morning. The cost is just £100 per annum to join and £10 a month payable by standing order for breakfasts.
The club also organise regular networking and social events in the annual calendar plus a range of other benefits. It was established in March 2013 and is now 30 members strong with opportunities available
for new businesses to join the group which has turned over £1.5m in referrals since its inception.
