Northampton Town will make a return to the third-tier in August, after achieving promotion as champions of League Two last season, in a memorable campaign at Sixfields.
The Cobblers won the title in style, as they went on a 24 match unbeaten run, losing just the five games, as they secured a return to a division they have not graced since 2009.
Northampton will have a new manager in the dugout in 2015/16 – following on from the appointment of Rob Page, who succeeded Chris Wilder when he departed to join Sheffield United.
A defender in his playing days, Page started his career in the youth team at Watford, turning professional at the Hornets in 1993.
In an eight-year spell at Vicarage Road, Page would go onto make 215 appearances, scoring twice, whilst in Hertfordshire.
In August 2001, he was loaned to Sheffield United, and subsequently made the transfer to Bramall Lane permanent the following month, for £300,000.
104 appearances would follow for Page in the Steel City during a three-year period, with the Llywnypia-native also spending brief spell loan spell back in his homeland with Cardiff City in the 2004-2005 season.
After his campaign with the Bluebirds at Ninian Park, Page spent a further three-years with Coventry City, turning out 70 times for the club.
Page spent time at Huddersfield Town and Chesterfield later in his career, eventually retiring from the game with the Spireites in 2011 – after making 475 appearances in club football, and representing the senior Wales side on 41 occasions.
After hanging up his boots after 18-years playing his trade in the Football League, Page linked up with Port Vale, as a youth team coach, before being promoted to a first-team coach in May 2012.
Page was again promoted to the role of Micky Adams assistant manager in the summer of 2014 – and was appointed first-team manager of the Staffordshire outfit that October, replacing Adams at Vale Park.
He helped preserve their status in League One at the end of that season, before leading the Valiants to 12th position last term.
The 41-year-old left Vale in May, in favour of taking up the then vacant position at Northampton Town.
