Winger returns in time for Orient clash on Saturday

Fleetwood Town have resigned winger Josh Morris on loan until the end the season from Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

Josh's initial loan expired after Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Swindon Town, a game in which he scored both of Fleetwood Town’s goals against the league leaders.

Manager Graham Alexander moved quickly to agree a new loan deal for the 23-year-old until the end of the season and Morris is now eligible for selection for this weekend’s trip to Leyton Orient.

“We are delighted Josh has come back to the Club for the remainder of the season,” said manager Graham Alexander in an exclusive interview with the fleetwoodtownfc.com

“The Chairman managed to sort the deal out with Blackburn Rovers and we are really pleased we have secured Josh’s services until the end of the season.

“He has done great for us since he has been here. Blackburn have a high quality squad and it has been difficult for Josh to establish himself but he has found with us a chance to play regular first team football.

“He gets on well with everyone and Josh is a pleasure to work with.

“I spoke to Josh on Wednesday morning about coming back and he was very pleased it had all been sorted.

“That is great to see. We are happy to have him back on board and we are looking forward to the second half of the season.”
