The 2015/16 campaign will see Bradford City embark on their third consecutive season at this level.
Having enjoyed a successful 2014/15, where they reached the FA Cup quarter-final, the Bantams will hope to go one better in the league, having finished seventh, a place outside the Play-Off places.
Victories over Premier League sides Chelsea and Sunderland, further enhanced the growing reputation of their manager Phil Parkinson.
Chorley-born Parkinson, aged 44, took over the reins at Valley Parade in August 2011, having previous had spells in charge at Charlton Athletic, Hull City, and Colchester United earlier in his managerial career, since retiring from playing for Bury and Reading.
Parkinson helped Bradford to a League Cup final and promotion to League One in 2012/13, and has since established City in the third-tier.
Bradford will be looking to experienced forward James Hanson to deliver the goods for them over the course of the coming season.
A Bradford native, Hanson began his career in the youth set up at his hometown club, as well as Huddersfield Town, before dropping down to semi-professional football.
His impressive goal-scoring form for Eccleshill United and Guiseley caught that attention of Bradford City, who Hanson re-joined on a professional basis in the summer of 2009.
During his six-years at Bradford to date, his goals in the 2012/13 season saw Bradford become the first League Two side to reach a League Cup final, where they faced Swansea City. At the end of that season, he helped City up via the play-offs, netting 15 times in the process.
204 appearances later, the 27-year-old has 62 goals to his name overall, including 11 times in Bradford’s 2014/15 season, helping them to a seventh place finish, and another memorable cup run.
The Cod Army have met with Bradford four times, with the Bantams winning the inaugural game between the pair in August 2012. James Hanson scoring the solitary goal at Valley Parade.
In the reverse game at Highbury in February 2013, goals from Alan Goodall and John Parkin’s penalty ensured a share of the spoils, with Nakhi Wells and Ryan Dickson netting for Bradford.
Following Fleetwood’s promotion in May 2014, the two sides locked horns in League One, with Bradford beating Town 2-0 at Highbury on Boxing Day.
Hanson glanced the Bantams into the lead after 42 minutes, following Mark Yeates’ cross, before Jonathan Stead turned provider for Filipe Morais, who side-footed the ball home confidently from close-range with 12 minutes remaining.
Fleetwood were involved in late drama in their next encounter against the Bantams at Valley Parade, as Jamie Proctor and Nathan Pond netted in the dying moments on to secure a 2-2 draw at Valley Parade after the Cod's were trailing 2-0.
Jonathan Stead and Christopher Routis has seemingly put the Bantams out of sight, but Proctor netted home Forbes’ cross after 86 minutes. Pond secured a point in stoppage time as he drilled in following a scramble for his 51st goal in Town colours.
