Bell will link up with Fleetwood in July

Fleetwood Town Football Club have agreed to sign left sided player Amari’i Bell from Championship side Birmingham City.

The 21-year-old becomes manager Graham Alexander’s second signing of the summer following Declan McManus’ move from Aberdeen last Friday.

Bell began his career with West Bromwich Albion before moving to Solihull Moors and later to the blue of Birmingham.

He has spent time on loan at various clubs during the early parts of his career, with Nuneaton Town and Kidderminster Harriers amongst his former sides.

Bell enjoyed successful stints with both Gillingham and Swindon Town last season, and featured against the Cod Army on two occasions.

He will join on the 1st July when his contract formally ends with Birmingham City.

Manager Graham Alexander said: “Amari’i is a player we’ve known about for a while as he’s played against us in the past and we thought he was very good. He is a left sided player.

“It’s a side of the pitch where we need variation and competition.

“What he gives us is a balance to our squad and gives us adaptability where he can play in three different positions.”
