The Club will be entering a team in the competition

Fleetwood Town Football Club are supporting Fleetwood Cricket Club’s open weekend on Sunday by entering a Club team into a four team tournament.

Martin Booker, Head of Commercial, is looking forward to the event and said: “We were approached by Fleetwood Cricket Club to enter a team in their open weekend, and it’s a great way for us to be out in the community and supporting local sport.

“The chairman is looking to play alongside a number of Club staff so it should be a good day out.”

Fleetwood CC will take on Fleetwood Rugby Club to begin with, and will later be followed by an FTFC XI playing against a Fleetwood CC Vets team at 1.30pm. There will then be a third/fourth place Play-Off before a grand final.

The Cricket club based at Broadwaters in Fleetwood are keen to attract a family audience to the event with a BBQ, bouncy castle, face painting and other activities all planned.

Local band Monkberry will also provide live music on the day and into the early evening.

Town fans are encouraged to come along and support the event which starts at 12pm.
