Next camps to be held in April...
Fleetwood Town’s Community Trust’s February sports camps were a major success with over a 120 children in attendance over the course of the week.The multi-sport camps, held throughout the week at Carleton Green Primary School and Fleetwood High School, gave local children an opportunity for some fun-filled action during the holidays.
More than 80 children joined in the fun on day one, with a number of others also taking part during the latter stages of the week.
On Thursday, the children enjoyed special visits from first team players Antoni Sarcevic, Gareth Evans, Nick Haughton and Ashley Hunter.
Sarcevic and Evans played dodgeball with the kids at Carleton Green, while Haughton and Hunter played one on ones at Fleetwood High School.
In addition, there was a special visit from Captain Cod who handed out presents as well as going in goal for a penalty shoot-out.
The Trust’s next holiday camps will take place during Easter, with the dates set as 30th March–10th April at Fleetwood High and Carleton Green.
