Teenager will link up with the Cod Army
Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce the signing of Ashley Hunter from IlkestonThe 19-year-old, who has been on the books at Burton Albion, will initially link up with Barry Nicholson’s development squad.
Speaking about the signing, Graham Alexander told the Club website that Hunter is an exciting prospect with bags of potential.
He said: “Ashley is a young player with a lot of potential. We have watched him a few times and we liked what we saw.
“We want to give him the base to go on and achieve what he wants to achieve. He is a hungry young player and we think he can flourish with us.
“He is a forward and he has lots of pace. He is very skilful and he likes to get on the ball. We have seen enough of Ashley to think he can get into the first team.”
