Striker aiming to score as many goals as possible for Town

Aaron Holloway admitted he was buzzing to have signed for Fleetwood after completing his two year deal with the Highbury outfit this afternoon.

The 23 year old striker joins the Club from Wycombe Wanderers, where he has spent the past two seasons with Gareth Ainsworth’s men.

Holloway enjoyed a loan spell at Oldham Athletic towards the back end of last season, and scored twice in the local derby against rivals Rochdale at Boundary Park.

After signing, he said: “I’m buzzing to have signed for Fleetwood. I’m happy to be staying in League One too having had a little spell in this division with Oldham last season.

“I enjoyed my time there a few months ago and felt I did quite well, so I’m excited by the fact I’ll be staying in this league. Fleetwood is the right move for me now.

“I was quite nervous before going to Oldham because I’d never played in League One before. I thought I settled in really quickly and found my feet well.

“The one thing I know about Fleetwood when I’ve spoken to people I know is that they like to play football the proper way so it’s happy days really.

“My agent has a really good relationship with the people here and he told me how good they are. I came over to see the facilities then and they just speak for themselves.

“I’m a big striker who is relatively quick and I put myself about to be fair. I win a fair few flicks on too but my agent won’t like me saying that!

“I’m going to work as hard as I can now for the next two years try to score as many goals as I can for Fleetwood. The aim is to get promoted.”
