Blackburn Rovers man joins Cod Army on one month loan

Fleetwood Town have completed the loan signing of Josh Morris from Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

The 22-year-old, who can operate at left back or left midfield, joins initially for a month and will be available for selection ahead of tonight’s game against Plymouth Argyle.

Speaking about his new recruit, manager Graham Alexander said: “Josh is a young man who has playing in the Blackburn Rovers first team earlier this season.

“He has been out on loan before and he can play at left back. We see him more as a left midfield player because he has very good adapting attributes.

“He has got a very good left foot. Josh is quick and he is good on the ball. He is a great addition to the squad and after losing Jeff Hughes for a period of time through injury, we are a little bit unbalanced on that left hand side.

“We don’t have a natural left footer who can play in that position. That is why we have brought in Josh and he will help us on that side.”

Morris will take the number 24 shirt during his stay at Fleetwood Town and will be available to selection up until the Bristol Rovers match inclusive.
