Number nine's thoughts after coming off the bench to hit equaliser

Stephen Dobbie registered his first goal in Fleetwood Town colours this afternoon as he came off the bench to snatch the equaliser against Leyton Orient.

The point ensured the Cod Army’s unbeaten start to the League One season continued, after Darius Henderson had given Orient the lead 10 minutes before the break.

It was only Dobbie’s second outing for the Club having been ruled out for the past three weeks with an injury picked up against Crewe Alexandra.

Speaking after the game, he said: “I only trained yesterday because I’ve been out injured for three weeks, but luckily the ball broke for me in the box and went in which is very pleasing.”

“The first half hour I thought we were much the better team and created a few chances, but credit to Henderson for their goal he took it well and is always a threat in the air.”

“We had to come out in the second half and get at them, and the boys did well to get back into it.”

“It’ll hopefully keep our confidence up because it’s a great point for us at the end of the day.”

“We have to carry on with the way we’re going at the moment. We’ve just got to be honest and work hard and hopefully the break will come.”

Fleetwood Town are next in action on Tuesday evening against Morecambe in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. For full ticket information please click here
