Barnsley v Bristol CityRecord-breaking Bristol City are favourites as they travel to a Barnsley side who have struggled on home soil so far this season in Sky Bet League 1. Gillingham v Crawley Town
Gillingham are 7/5 favourites for victory against Crawley as they look to bounce back from a dismal run of just two points from 18 in Sky Bet League One. They suffered only their second league defeat at P¬riestfield in midweek against Preston and will hope Cody McDonald can rediscover his scoring touch. He is 5/1 joint-favourite with Danny Kedwell to score the opening goal and it is 11/2 that they both score in 90 minutes. Crawley claimed their first win in four with a 1-0 home success over Walsall in midweek and are 15/8 to follow it up with another three-pointer. The draw is a 23/10 shot. Oldham Athletic v Bradford City
Oldham, who are unbeaten in their last ten games in Sky Bet League One, are even-money favourites to overcome mid-table Bradford at Boundary Park. The Latics warmed-up with a 4-1 midweek win over Coventry with striker Jonathan Forte bagging a brace to take his tally for the season to 10 – second only in the league’s scoring chart to Chesterfield’s Eoin Doyle (14). After defeats by Barnsley and Sheffield United, the Bantams bounced back with a highly creditable 2-2 draw at runaway leaders Bristol City in midweek. Phil Parkinson’s men have a much superior record on their travels having lost just once in seven outings and it’s 11/4 for them to win again here. City’s on-loan striker, Jon Stead, had a spell with Oldham last season and is 13/2 to score the opening goal against his former club and 2/1 to score in 90 minutes.

Port Vale v Leyton Orient
Not much separates these two sides in the betting this week, highlighting the stiff competition for points in this year’s League 1. Leyton Orient should feel confident of taking a second away scalp in a week. Their 2-0 victory over Doncaster in mid-week was their first win in five, making them 13 games unbeaten on the road. They are 12/1 to match their Tuesday night score line and 10/3 to win by exactly one goal. Vale, on the other hand, were unable to hold on to their lead against 10-men Scunthorpe so will be hoping for better fortunes against a side they have beaten just once in their last five encounters. Tuesday night’s scorer Ben Williamson is 7/4 to score again, with striker Tom Pope the favourite to open the scoring at 5/1. The former Rotherham forward hasn’t scored in three games but is the club’s top scorer with nine in all competitions.

Preston North End v Fleetwood Town
Preston are odds-on to register a sixth consecutive win in Sky Bet League 1 as they host an inconsistent Fleetwood side on Saturday. Notts County could prove a big price for an away win as they travel to Scunthorpe on Saturday. Swindon Town v Colchester United
Swindon are odds-on to return to winning ways as Colchester travel to the County Ground on Saturday. The Robins put together a nine-game unbeaten run, which was ended by Rochdale on Tuesday night, but they’re 5/6 to bounce back with a win. The U’s are rated 16/5 for a third away win of the league season, though Swindon have lost just once at home in the division this term. A draw is more likely than an away win at 13/5, while the correct score betting suggests a 1-0 home win is the most likely outcome. As for the first goalscorer market, Jonathan Obika, Andy Williams and Michael Smith are each rated at 4/1, while Freddie Sears is deemed Colchester’s biggest threat at 12/5 to score anytime.

Yeovil v Rochdale
According to Sky Bet, there’s little between the sides as Yeovil host Rochdale on Saturday. The Football League sponsor go 9/5 on the home side, 7/5 about the visitors, while a draw is 23/10. The Glovers have only won once so far at home in the league this season, while Dale have claimed four victories on the road - with no draws - so the logical bet would be to back the visitors. On top of that, Rochdale have four wins in their last six to the hosts’ one. However, both teams to score is considered likely at 4/6.
