Head Coach on 4-1 defeat

Uwe Rosler admitted that individual mistakes were the downfall of his side against MK Dons and thought the goals they conceded were avoidable.

Rosler revealed that he felt better this week about the team’s performance than he did last week after losing against Rochdale.

“I was hurt more last week against Rochdale to be fair because the performance today didn’t reflect the score,” said Rosler.

“In general open play, I think we were as good as them but they had that little bit extra quality today and they punished us with every little mistake.”

Rosler admitted that each goal they conceded was caused by individual mistakes and they all could have been awarded.

“Every goal was an individual mistake. We got a reality check today because overall I think we played a good game,” said the Cod Army Head Coach.

“Today we did too many mistakes and they punished us.”

But Rosler thought that Town had good chances throughout the game with the problem being didn’t convert them when they needed to.

“We had some good chances in the game and at key points in the game.

“I think when you saw the little thing we practiced on with the corner - which was a minute before half-time.

“If we got the equaliser there, there’s only one team in the second half so we had the chances at the right times, with the right momentum, but we didn’t convert them.”

Fleetwood travel to Bradford City on Tuesday night looking to bounce back from back-to-back defeats.
