Rosler looks ahead to Sheffield United challenge

Uwe Rosler says his side will ‘relish the challenge’ of facing in-form Sheffield United on Saturday at Highbury Stadium.

The Blades come into the game on the back of five wins out of their last six matches in Sky Bet League One, whilst Rosler’s side have slipped to three straight defeats.

“Sheffield United is still a big name,” said Rosler.

“They have a big history and are a club who should probably not be playing in this division. We relish the challenge and are looking forward to it.

“You can expect there is no complacency (when playing Sheffield United) and no fear when we play at home. I think yes they have a good run of results, but in terms of performances and the way we started the first seven games, we cannot hide too far behind them.”

The Cod Army Head Coach is hoping that the Fleetwood fans come and help support the team as it has been confirmed that the South Yorkshire club have sold over 1,400 tickets for the match.

“It would be nice to fill the stadium,” said the German.

“It will give the game in general a good atmosphere and I think it would inspire us. Then we will see who the winner will be in the end.

“In Sheffield United’s case – with their budget – you would expect them to get out of the division as soon as possible. In our case it is different and you would expect us to be a little bit inconsistent and that is what we are at the moment.

“We are trying to build not only for this season, but the year after and the year after too.
