Head coach speaks to the media ahead of trip to Gigg Lane

Uwe Rosler says his side are prepared for ‘a real fight’ on Saturday as Fleetwood travel to Bury in Sky Bet League One (3pm k/o).

The Cod Army are currently unbeaten away from Highbury since November last year and sit third in the league, just four points behind Bolton in second place.

The newly crowned EFL League One Manager of the Season insists his team are ready for the trip to local rivals Bury this weekend.

“It will be a tough game this weekend and we expect that,” said Rosler.

“We are prepared to keep our unbeaten run away from home going. We will give them a real fight to deal with tough conditions, we are ready and will hope to get the best result.”

Rosler’s options are limited at the moment, with just two fully first team strikers as well other first team players injured across the squad.

“I am happy with the players I have. Obviously, we need all players back from the treatment table to give us the best squad,” added Rosler.

“I can’t control these types of things but we are ready and prepared to cope.

Bury go into this weekend’s game on the back of a good run of form having only lost once in their last nine matches.

Lee Clark’s men have played a lot of different formations this season and Rosler is expecting a tactical battle at Gigg Lane.

“They have switched formations a lot this year, there won’t be many goals in between the two sides.

“We have to rely on what we have and so far, this season it has been really effective.

“We will go into the game trying to get a clean sheet as with that, it gives us a chance to get a positive result.”
