Head coach reacts after making it 15 games unbeaten

Uwe Rosler hailed Fleetwood Town’s 2-1 win over Bradford City on Tuesday night as ‘something special’.

Rosler saw his side come from a goal down to stun the West Yorkshire side with Devante Cole and Conor McLaughlin striking in the second half.

The result keeps Town fourth in Sky Bet League One and extended their unbeaten run to 15 matches.

“After the first half, I didn’t see that coming!” said Rosler.

“In the second half we turned it around, and won the game. It’s fantastic. I would say for the first half they [Bradford] were the best team we have played in our pitch this season. Like I said in my programme notes, they are a very good footballing side who are doing really well.

“For me, I must give credit to Stuart [McCall] because he has a fantastic team. But for us to beat them, it’s something special.”

Town’s head coach called upon Bobby Grant and Ashley Hunter from the bench, with the latter setting up Fleetwood’s first goal.

“In the second half we made some substitutions and changed the shape at the beginning of the second half and this started the momentum.

“The momentum got stronger and stronger, our subs made a big impact and in the end I didn’t see any trouble.

“In the second half we changed the geography on the pitch and managed to turn in around. I think the two subs [Bobby Grant and Ashley Hunter] were both influential and Ash put a great cross in for the goal – it was something we had worked on.

“It was fantastic to beat such a strong side.”
