Murray joins Fleetwood from Sheffield Wednesday...

“We all welcome Paul to Fleetwood Town and look forward to working with him.”

“We had a number of high quality applicants, many of whom were highly capable, but at this point we felt Paul was perfect for the club and the structure we have in place at Highbury.

On the news, Technical Director Gretar Steinsson said: “We are delighted to have been able to attract Paul to Fleetwood Town, he’s a coach who we were instantly impressed by.

Murray, a former professional footballer who played more than 500 games for the likes of QPR, Oldham Athletic and Hartlepool United, will oversee our U21 squad, working closely alongside Head Coach Uwe Rosler and the first team staff.

The vastly experienced 40-year-old arrives from Sheffield Wednesday where he’s been in charge of the Sky Bet Championship side’s U18s.

Fleetwood Town are delighted to confirm Paul Murray has joined the club as Development Squad Head Coach.

Murray will act as a key link in developing talent through to the club's first team, and Head Coach Rosler is pleased to have him on board.

"We are delighted Paul has joined us, he's a coach who arrives with a good reputation.

"I'm looking forward to working alongside him, the link between the Development Squad at the first team is vital."
