Manager pleased with performance against Dutch top-flight side
Steven Pressley was pleased with the reaction in Fleetwood Town's performance against Roda JC Kerkrade.The Cod Army were narrowly beaten by a fantastic long-range strike from David Boysen in the friendly against the Dutch top-flight side.
Town have been put through their paces in the training camp this week and have already faced Fortuna Sittard and AZ Alkmaar earlier in the week.
And Pressley believes his side gave a good account of themselves on the day.
"It was a very positive reaction, especially in the first half," he said.
"We had a slightly more experienced team in the first half. We gave a really good account of ourselves and had a number of really good opportunities.
"I thought the attitude of both groups was excellent again today.
"We've had a really tough week, we've put a lot of loads on the players.
"It's been a really productive week, and I thought over the course of the ninety minutes their application was excellent."
