Bishop, who turned out 23 times for Southport last term, was appointed caretaker manager in Match, prior to taking up a permanent role as player-manager a month later.

His side open up their season with a trip to recently relegated Dagenham and Redbridge on 6th August.

The last meeting took place at tomorrow's venue on New Years' Day 2012, as Town's trip to Merseyside concluded in fruitful fashion, coming away with a 6-0 victory.

Jamie Vardy and Richard Brodie both netted braces in the triumph. Their goals were accompanied by strikes from Jamie Milligan and  Andy Mangan.
