Here’s a run down of some of the names associated with both Fleetwood Town and Sheffield United…

Bob Harris signed on loan for the Cod Army earlier this year until the end of the 2015-16 season. The left back scored against Fleetwood in the clubs’ first ever meeting in December 2014.

In August, Town signed Martyn Woolford from the Blades. He played over a hundred times for Scunthorpe United and became a fans’ favourite in North Lincolnshire in his three-year stint. He then signed for Bristol City, then Millwall, before making 28 appearances for United last season.

Fleetwood new boy Kieran Wallace is on-loan from United. He’s yet to play for his new club, but could feature in Uwe Rosler’s team soon.

Defensive Midfielder Georges Santos made Fleetwood his club in an eleven-year career that included two seasons at Sheffield United. He played 61 times for United, scoring six goals and played five times for the Cod Army before retiring in 2009. He is now a scout at Manchester City.

Current Eastleigh defender Ryan Cresswell signed his first professional contract with the Blades in 2006, with his first taste of first-team football coming on loan at Halifax Town. He played 26 times for Fleetwood in the 2013-14 season, scoring once in a 3-1 victory against Dagenham & Redbridge.
