Ciaran Donnelly appointed new Head of Academy

New appointment to clubs category three academy

Fleetwood Town can confirm Ciaran Donnelly has been appointed as the new Head of Academy.


Donnelly joins the club after a hugely successful spell as Academy Manager at neighbours Blackpool, and takes over the great work done by Stuart Murdoch.


The 33 year-old – who played for Town back in 2007 – will be responsible for the management and direction of the club’s youth development program. 

 

Chairman, Andy Pilley said: "We are absolutely delighted to have Ciaran on board at Fleetwood Town.

 

"He's someone we've known for a long time following his brief spell here as a player and have more recently monitored the excellent job he's done at Blackpool.

 

"Last season he managed the league and cup double with his under 18s side and we believe we have appointed one of the top young prospects around to run our academy.
