Youngster will link up with the development squad
Fleetwood Town have completed the signing of highly-rated midfielder Dion Charles. The tricky winger will initially link up with the Club’s development squad.
Charles, who has been attracting Championship interest this summer, started his career in the youth ranks at Blackpool before joining AFC Fylde, hitting no fewer than 18 goals for the Coasters last term.
The 20-year-old free agent has opted to join Fleetwood Town penning a two year deal.
Manager Steven Pressley said: “Our scouting and recruitment staff have been to watch Dion play. He is another young player that we expect we can develop into a first team player and a real asset for the football club.
“We are looking to recruit well. The goal is to bring players through our youth and development squad. Dion falls under that category and over time we know that with full time training and development, we can improve his game.”
