Fleetwood Town can confirm young midfielder Reece Wilkes has been called up to the England Under-15s squad for their UEFA International Tournament in Croatia.
Wilkes – who joined Town’s Academy at the age of seven – has already featured for the Three Lions as he wore the famous white kit, scoring on his debut against Scotland in a friendly match at St. George’s Park in February.
Wilkes became the fourth player in seven seasons for the FTFC Academy to feature for the Three Lions – testament to the academy’s ability to develop young talent.
Later this month, Town’s midfielder will travel across Europe to Croatia, and be part of the Croatia Tournament, which will see the Young Lions play four matches against Morocco, the USA and hosts Croatia.

The 15-year-old is part of the Category Two Academy at Fleetwood and will be called up alongside many Category One players from a vast of Premier League Clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.
