Fleetwood Town Football Club will be hosting their annual Under-15s tournament at Poolfoot Farm on Sunday 12 May 2024, and it's bigger and better than ever before.
Twelve teams from around the United Kingdom will be gracing the Fylde Coast for Town's annual Under-15s tournament at the £10 million training complex, Poolfoot Farm.
From Premier League giants Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham, to Scottish giants Celtic FC, there will be 12 teams looking to crown themselves champions of this competition.
With young midfielder Reece Wilkes having stepped up to the Under-18s this year, as well as helping the Under-17s to PDL Cup Final victory against Watford earlier int he month, he will be looking to guide his teammates to cup glory.
Last year, Premier League sides Newcastle United, Watford, and Everton joined Fleetwood in Group A, alongside Championship side Middlesbrough in what was a tough group. The Magpies came out on top after going undefeated after four games, with Watford coming in second, Everton in third, and the Cods in fourth.
Academy Manager, Jack Higgins said ahead of the tournament: "We are delighted to host this event for another year.
"With the calibre of teams down at this year's tourmament is fantasitc, and we as a Club and an Academy are looking forward to welcoming these teams to Poolfoot Farm.
"It's our job to make sure all teams are made to feel welcome and that they have the best time with us. I am sure it's going to be another competitive tournament with friends and families from all teams welcome down to make the most of the faciltiies on show."
Each team will play five matches - which will be 25 minutes straight through - with the top two teams in eaxch group going through to the semi-finals, with third and fourth place teams going into a plate competition.
Family members and friends from all teams involved will be able to watch the games for free at Poolfoot Farm (FY5 4HX), with the full game schedule to be sent to each Academy leads. For more details, stay tuned to our official social media pages.
