Fleetwood Town are delighted to confirm the signing of Rangers midfielder Jordan Rossiter.

The Cod Army beat a host of clubs to the signature of the 23-year-old, with the former Liverpool man joining on a season-long loan deal from the Scottish Premiership side.

The midfielder started off his career in Merseyside, where he joined the famous Reds academy at the age of six.

The Liverpudlian made his debut eleven years later against Middlesborough, scoring the first goal in the 2-2 draw at Anfield.

Rossiter joined Rangers from Liverpool in 2016, and has recently had a loan spell at now League One side Bury – after he played a vital role in The Shakers winning the League Two title, scoring on the final day of the season against Port Vale.

He becomes Town’s fifth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Danny Andrew, Josh Morris, Paul Coutts and most recently, Lewie Coyle.

Rossiter will link up with the team on their week-long pre-season training camp in Portugal.

Jordan will wear the number 16 shirt for the upcoming season.
