Player Visits
We are extremely grateful to the Football Club for organising First Team players to visit our local schools. They arrive to make presentations and hand out medals or in some cases just to get a grilling from the keen youngsters, eager to learn what life is like being a professional footballer.
Although a lot of questions are asked, the players never disappoint and always have time for every question. The players are great role models for the children and have helped us promote healthy eating and the importance of a health lifestyle, using football as the tool for success.
Ticket Incentives
Throughout the season we aim to offer as many schools and local junior football clubs as possible the opportunity to attend a first team fixture at Highbury Stadium, via our Family Ticket Initiative. A quick look around Highbury Stadium on a match day is all you need to see the success of the scheme. We pride ourselves in how many children and families attend our home games and we will do all we can to make sure that support continues as the club develops.
The Prince’s Trust
The Prince’s Trust Team programme is run in Fleetwood in partnership with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service from the new Community Fire Station on Radcliffe Road. Team is a 12-week programme for 16-25 year olds based on individual and Team challenges in the community and is designed to help improve job prospects for young people through team building activities.
During the course the young people take part in a residential trip to bring them together as a team. They fundraise in their community to raise money to complete a project that will impact their local community. They also complete a two week work experience placement and sessions in CV writing and interview techniques to help them when looking for work.
The Prince’s Trust has a long history of harnessing the power and passion of football to bring about positive change. They have worked with more than 65 Premier League and Football League clubs to deliver programmes that have helped three in four people into work, education and training.
We are delighted to be working with the Prince’s Trust and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service to support them in the successful delivery of the Team programme. Team members will take part in sessions run for them by the club, as well as have the opportunity to meet staff and players and hold their final presentation event here.
