After a slow start against very strong opposition the White team soon found themselves a couple of goals down. The boy’s spirit remained high and they started to chase the game with Harry Johnston and Alwyn Flynn working hard to win the ball and set up attacks. There is always a risk when chasing a game that you will concede goals and that’s what happened, despite some heroics in goal by Ellis Tester. In the second half Sam and Dylan coped better with Foxhall's attacks and grit and determination from all the players saw us pull back two goals from Jimmy Marshall.
The Reds new the task ahead of them as they kicked off. Again they were positive and took an early lead. Nathan Cossy gave Foxhall problems up front whilst Tom Scantlebury marshalled the midfield. Finlay Prescott and Tom Sargent looked strong at the back but again when chasing matches you can leave yourself open and Foxhall scored twice. The boys kept their heads and continued to work hard which resulted in a well taken goal by Jamie Hunter.
Today wasn't meant to be for the boys but they should be very proud of what they have achieved this year.
The team spirit and strong attitude in the semi and the final made the coaches and the parents also very proud. Thanks boys and well done.
