Town hour on the radio
10 March 2010
Fleetwood Town will be a main focus of a brand new radio show on Fylde FM this evening.
Club sports psychologist Steve Pope will host the Wednesday evening show between 7-10pm and will provide news, views and interviews about the Highbury club during the first hour.
The second hour will be filled with all things Tangerine as The Gazette’s Steve Canavan joins Pope to provide the latest happenings at Bloomfield Road.
A mix of live studio, telephone and pre-recorded guests will appear on the show. Live in the studio this week will be Fleetwood Town pair John Hills and Jamie Milligan, along with Rangers defender David Weir who is a telephone guest during the second hour.
The final hour from 9–10pm is about general issues and tonight publicist Max Clifford discusses the publicity pressure top footballers find themselves up against.
The show will carry latest football scores from the evening’s action.
Building on recent television appearances on the Jeremy Kyle Show and This Morning, Pope said “Fylde FM have offered my the 7-10 slot each Wednesday evening. I’ve done radio work in the past and looking forward to getting back into the studio. Radio brings news and views quickly into the home and there will be plenty of coverage about the two main football clubs on the Fylde coast.
"Steve Canavan from the Gazette will join the show regularly to discuss the Seasiders and Fleetwood Town’s Derick Thomas will be in the studio covering Town’s promotion push into the Football Conference.”
