Summary
Corby Town 0-2 Fleetwood Town
Blue Square North
Saturday 6th February 2010
Att 455
Fleetwood Town came away from Corby with three crucial points to maintain their lead at the top of the Blue Square North. Town needed to be at their best to take victory from a stubborn Corby team whose limited chances were let down by poor finishing and good goalkeeping from Craig Dootson.
The heavy fog which shrouded the pitch throughout threatened just after half time with an abandonment but the elements kept at bay.
Adam Warlow headed his 19th goal of the season thanks to Shaun Beeley’s inch perfect cross on 23 minutes.
Leon Hibbert had the best chance for the home side when he forced Dootson into a finger tip save on the half hour mark.
Town maintained their single goal lead into the break and secured victory with Anthony Barry’s first goal for Town on 83 minutes on only his second appearance for his new club.
Gavin Cowan
