Molson Coors Senior Cup
Quarter Final

Fleetwood Town bowed out of the Lancashire Senior Cup but with an encouraging performance through the 90 minutes.

Town had commanded the first period but it was hosts Oldham Athletic – the game being switched from Highbury – who opened the scoring.

The return of Gareth Evens after three weeks out with an ankle injury provided Town with an equaliser before the break. The midfielder drove home a left-foot strike after good approach play towards the Oldham penalty area.

Oldham clinched the tie in dramatic fashion moments before the final whistle when a low, driven cross was turned into the Town goal.
